Products Expected
zip1:
One of the driving factors for this will be how inventory and products is shaping up in EOS.
Currently the inventory table is the anchor for EOS. The older product table are used to add additional information so they can be displayed on the product information page pages.
Although the expected date is still located in the products table it will get moved to the inventory tables.
Also the status information has changed. its now a table and not hard coded .
Item Is Disabled
Item Is Enabled
Item Is Backordered
Item Is Discontinued
Pre-Order Enabled
So by using the date expected and the inventory status you can convey a lot more information to a customer.

Hello
Yes.. I have signed up on the tracker.. I just prefer discussing these suggestions in the forum before I start filling up the tracker :)

A (simple?) fix to this could be that the date just increased by a customizable (in config?) number of days if the products has not been marked arrived.

I would suggest keeping the product detail page alone. Keep the back ordered and expected due date alone. Maybe add a link that allows them to sign up for product update notification so they know when it's back in stock.
