The whole Push/Pull thing is a case where changes that should sensibly cascade down the product/category tree just DO.

But, they don't do so blindly , or without store owner control.

show/hide means all products in that category will be seen by (shown to) the customer group, or hidden (hide) from that customer group.  push-not push access is a feature where you can change the customer group access for all products or sub categories for the category you invoke this feature for.  Instead of having to edit the access product by product you can do many.

When adding a new category everything is easy to figure out but what is Group Access and Save Options in the group access. What does the show/hide do? What is push-not push access?
