We have a final decision.

Based on Mockup 2 with rays with only minor modifications.

We also have images which can be used to build associated emblems for use on the forums.  Expect to see "EOS Contributor" ranking symbols in the not so distant future...

I like it myself.  Denver finds the outline a bit too busy for his taste, so we should see another mockup soon with a slight adjustment.   I'm looking forward to finalizing this decision and getting the templates and documentation styled to match soon.

I do quite a bit of graphics work, and would like to say that I love the logo chosen for the installer for EOS alpha v0.52

Looks like "Mockup2 with Rays" from the top when you first presented the choices.

It's unique, identify-able, and not too complex for being reproduced a lot of times in a lot of ways.

Yes, definitely a point to be considered.  I have referred this to the designer, and will see if she has any ideas there.

To be honest, i personally think the sunshine is ok. I think if you make it bolder, it will take away some of the impact of the EOS name. Which is the main statement there.

I like the mascot as well. 

I also tend to prefer the logo with the sun ray background.  Will advise the designer of that.

Anyone think the sunshine should be more bold??

SMF forums is hiccuping today. I have added a task to help clarify how to use BBcode and if you use an image file how to filter it up so it displays properly. What does everyone think about adding youtube video or google video bbcode tags?

Not sure about anyone else, but i'm having trouble looking at the enlarged images.

It seems the forum software is playing around with the URL of the images
