Oh, I'm still a bit interested myself - we have a few users with 6.3 stores.  I just can't see promoting the darn thing when they persist in treating their community this way.

I'd like to see EOS moving faster, but we are attacking a LOT of core functionality issues..

Thanks Ivar.  I'm thinking 6.4 is more and more a lost cause.  The stupidity of announcing that the store owner is using a free cart and soliciting customers to open their own store with CRE Loaded is just mind boggling.  EOS is gaining functionality by the day, and should probably become our primary focus now.

Hello all, my first post and that to for an abandoned topic, please excuse me. Not sure if "authsecure" has been found but i did found the culprit code and sharing it.
Present in 4 Files:

1) admin/cre_marketplace.php not sure where it is called
2) admin/messages.php already discussed
3) admin/includes/javascript/head_news.js culprit file delete all the content
4) admin/includes/javascript/crenews_script.js not sure where it is called

Hope this helps.

We have, in the course of creating this patch, established repositories where interested vendors could participate DIRECTLY in maintaining the 6.2 tree.  Anyone interested should contact Tom or I by PM.

That's great news David.

There's a couple bugs that still haven't been squashed AFAIK mentioned in other threads.

I'll search here and see what's up with them now ;-)

Yet another project we are slowly making progress on.  We have patches nearing release for CRE Loaded 6.2 Pro and B2B - with Standard to follow.  This is just one of the issues we addressed - many of the PHP 5 compatibility changes made for 6.3 will be included.

Finally got around to removing adserver.authsecure.com links because it is really slooooow tonight and it merited the wrath and attention.

But it's still loading?...I can tell because the page is hanging on adserver.authsecure.com

I commented out the if part of the only if-else from admin/messages.php

I even deleted the file and the admin still wants to load it (dumped cache in firefox and reloaded)

Did make sure it was the right file and the right directory on the server too.

Love the clean graphic design of the site, nice job!
http://strikehawk.com/StrikeHawk-eCommerce-Sponsors-EOS-Online-Merchant.html

Looks like that eos code is from 7-24-2008, I'm wondering if I should check it out (listed as an alpha) or wait till you guys update it, just wondering what time frame to expect?

Wondering if the inclination for cre loaded code to exhibit feature regression due to template provider's shortcomings is expressed as something like:
The Language/Cart not being able to be toggled on/off in the page header graphic area using the admin->Design Controls->Template Configure->edit (button)->Include Cart in Header?

That certainly sounds like one example.  We need some MAJOR refactoring of the template system to avoid this.

I would encourage every forum user to download these EOS Online Merchant download releases and test them even though they are Alpha - in fact, perhaps especially because they are Alpha.

Early feedback is one of the keys to success for any project.  Person-hours wasted on bad ideas can not be recovered.  Neither can hours wasted back tracking development to pursue a good idea that wanders down a sub-optimal path.

I backed the release revisions into the Alpha range because I believe it truly reflects the state of the code, given what we intend to do with it, and to give time for the community participation  we so strongly desire.

I installed it, you will need to rename a file for it to work off the bat.  It does show some promiss. I am looking to run something other than cre :)  Right now im running a 6.2 that a friend converted to globals off and added quite afew 6.3 mods, I even have admin shipping calculation.  Just need to be able to charge a card from the admin :)

Looking foward to eos coming further along.

I am planning to post cleaned versions of 6.2 and probably 6.3 as well.  Eos lacks these sneakies by design.  Of course it also has other feature improvements which both 6.2 and 6.3 lack, and is less prone to feature regression by template providers - a huge issue for all CRE Loaded distributions.
