Forum Ranking Group Policy
« Reply #1 on: June 01, 2008, 01:39:16 PM »
As of June 1, 2008 it is my pleasure to announce the following group ranking usage policy:

The Open Source University forums will create a branded member ranking group for any company providing service, support or software products for any cart distribution supported in these forums, subject to the following conditions:

1. Each firm must abide by our signature policy - providing links to sites which clearly identify the company,  their products and services.

2. Each site linked to in those footers must have a link submitted to our links pages at http://www.oscommerceuniversity.com/links_submit.php.  Images for such submissions must not be larger than 120x120 pixels.

3. Each such site must clearly identify the company location and ownership.

4. Each such site must provide a link to these forums, preferably on each page.

We feel that ethical companies will have no issue with these conditions, and companies which won't probably are not worth considering to provide services.

Why would we do this?   Because our objective is to provide eCommerce business people with solutions for problems.  Our focus on this site is education, and while providing this service to companies competing with me  and my partners may seem crazy, this is the perfect site to reach one of our primary business goals.

If we cannot provide the services you need in such a way as to make you a raving fan we want you to have a place to go that can do it - while keeping you in the Open Source eCommerce community.

If you are a service or product provider interested in having your own branded membership rankings, just email me - or post in the General Discussion group.  I'll get with you to make arrangements.

Regards,

David M. .Graham,
Dean - The Open Source Commerce University
Co-Owner - StrikeHawk Hosting.
