Recently, the owners of the CRE Loaded Forums decided to block the use of signature lines identifying members of their forums as vendors of software services or related products.
Their motivation is simple - they wish to force the use of their CRE Lance freelance site in order to extract a toll on doing business which relates to their software from all providers.
This is their right.
Our policy on the matter is different.
Any forum member may advertise their product or service related to any covered software distribution provided only that the links go to a site clearly communicating such services or products.
Why would we do this?
Because a web exists to connect people, not separate them.
Because we do not believe in monopolies - even when they are to our benefit.
